Chapter 1243: Final battle with demons (3)

The asura went to grab more of the demons that were around it as if it was about to throw them up into the air.

It was just that before it was able to do this, there were tendrils of earth and roots that came out of the ground.

These tendrils of earth and roots quickly went up to grab the asura from all over.

In no time at all, the asura was trapped by these tendrils of earth and roots.

It did what it could in an attempt to break out, but it found that it wasn't able to break out at all. Instead, what happened was that the asura started smoking from different parts of its body that were caught by these tendrils of earth and the roots.

What created this smoke was naturally the corruption energy being purified.

The asura didn't seem like it was able to last long under the earth tendrils and the roots that grabbed it.

It seemed that it was completely being drained just from having these things grab it.

In no time at all, all of the dark corruption energy around the asura seemed to have been drained away and it was starting to break apart. It was as if it was melting with the way that it started to collapse on itself.

Finally, the asura seemed like it was completely out of power as it turned into a mass of flesh on the ground.

It didn't seem like it was going to get up again after that.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

I couldn't help knitting my brows when I saw this since it had been too easy to take down this asura. It almost felt like it didn't take any effort at all to take it down...almost as if it was some kind of trap.

Only there was nothing that happened in the end.

Since there was nothing that happened, the only thing that I could do was give the next order to attack the next large demon.

There were many of these large demons that appeared all over the battlefield after all and it seemed like they weren't remaining idle.

It wasn't just an asura that appeared, there were also different kinds of demons that were formed.

There were ifrits, djinns, succubi and incubi, specters, dhampirs, and all kinds of other demons that were formed.

It seemed like it wasn't just the asura alone that they could form into.

All of these different types of demons had their own racial power, but the thing that they had in common was that they were using the corruption energy to fight. It seemed that they all had their own unique way of using the corruption energy.

For example, the ifrit seemed to mix the corruption energy into the flames that it controlled which created flames that were much more powerful than normal flames. These burned the land, but also caused all kinds of corruption effects that seemed to pollute the land.

It seemed like it would be bad to just even touch these flames.

The others all had their own way of utilizing the corruption energy that they wielded to cause different effects.

But none of them were any less destructive.

With these large demons running amok in the human army formations, it was utter chaos.

For some, it might even be described as hell on earth with the way that they were surrounded by what seemed to be death.

The four empires recognized that this was a problem, so they started moving their people as well.

The main forces were the paladins and priests since they were the best way to deal with these demons with corruption energy.

Their holy magic did wonders against the corruption energy.

There were also tanks that were moved forward to block these demons from rampaging too far into the lines of the humans.

With all of this, the humans were able to keep back the large demons that had taken form, but it didn't seem like they would be able to hold them off forever. After all, even with all of this, there were many casualties that came about.

Seeing this, I sent a small group back to support the main battle between the demons and the humans.

When this small group arrived, there was a mist that appeared in the area.

This mist quickly enveloped the battle, but it didn't seem like it was thick enough to obscure vision.

Both sides were confused about where this mist had come from until they realized what it did. The ones that reacted first were the large demons that had been in the middle of attacking the human lines.

When the mist came over them, there was smoke that started coming from their bodies and they scrunched their faces. It didn't seem like they were in too much pain, but it also didn't seem like there was no pain at all.

The paladins and priests were the ones that recognized what this mist was.

"It's the blessing of the gods!" They said in almost fanatical voices.

It seemed that they did recognize that it was a mist created with a relic, which meant that this was a mist that was made from divine energy. Which was why it was able to purify the corruption energy that the large demons wielded.

But that wasn't the only thing that happened.

At the same time, it even seemed like the large demons were moving in a much more sloppy manner. It was as if they didn't have the same energy as before with the way that they slowed

down.

It was as if there was something that was debuffing them.

This made it much easier for the human soldiers to dodge out of the way of their attacks.

At the same time, it made it easier for the paladins and priests to fight back against the large

demons.

Just this mist alone had turned the tide of the battle.

Only the funny thing was that this mist didn't come from a human in the first place.
