Chapter 345 Podcast II
The podcast went off without a hitch, and the talk turned into an interesting dialogue as the minutes went by.
The questions were well-thought-out and a mix of professional and personal interest, which made Damon feel free to talk without feeling pressured.
Damon had more fun with the experience than he thought he would.
He wasn't sure how he'd handle the attention in a place so different from the cage when he walked in.
His worries went away as the conversation went on, though.
The host, Daniel Blake, was polite and laid-back, just the right amount of professional and friendly.
His laid-back attitude made it seem more like a casual chat with friends than an official interview.
Damon recognized that his worry had been for no reason.
They weren't bothersome, the mood wasn't tense, and they weren't trying to get him to make news.
It was instead his chance to be himself, which meant being honest, grounded, and focused.
Daniel leaned forward with a smile as the podcast neared its conclusion. "Alright, we're close to wrapping up, but I've got two final questions for you."
Damon nodded. "Sure, go for it."
"So, like we discussed, you've come up fast and strong. You recently showcased your ground game, which surprised a lot of people. What's next for you? Any callouts? Or is there someone you want to fight this year? I know you've mentioned taking a break, but do you have a target or goal in mind?"
Damon paused for a moment, thoughtful but composed. "Yeah, sure. Uhm… I think the championship picture, that's the goal. I'm not expecting a title shot this year or anything, but by the end of the year, I hope to be in that conversation. You know, in the mix, maybe the next contender."
Daniel nodded, impressed. "That's a bold and cool goal. I wish you the best with it. Now, before you leave, what advice can you give to young fighters? Well, you're young yourself, but you know what I mean, those looking to be in your position one day."
Damon leaned back slightly, his tone measured and genuine. "Hard work. I know it sounds simple, but it's the truth. This isn't an easy path. You have to put in the time, make sacrifices, and stay disciplined, even when it feels like you're not making progress. It's not about being perfect every day; it's about showing up and doing the work no matter what." Enjoy new adventures from empire
He paused for a moment, then added, "But also, surround yourself with the right people. A good coach, good teammates, people who believe in you and push you to be better. You can't do this alone."
Daniel smiled, clearly satisfied with the answer. "That's solid advice. Damon, it's been a pleasure having you on the show. Thanks for taking the time."
Damon nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. "Thanks for having me. It was fun."
"Alright, Fight Fans, that's it for today. Make sure to keep an eye on Damon Cross, big things are coming. Until next time, stay tuned, stay hyped, and keep fighting the good fight."
The camera's red light dimmed as the episode came to a close.
Damon breathed out, happy with what he had done.
He had finished his first podcast, and it went better than he thought it would.
As the cameras turned off, Damon stood up and extended his hand toward Daniel. "Thanks for having me on. It was a good experience."
Daniel shook his hand firmly, smiling. "Pleasure was all mine, Damon. You handled it like a pro for your first time. Looking forward to seeing you again, maybe next time after a title fight?"
Damon chuckled. "We'll see about that. Take care."
"Take care, man," Daniel replied as Damon headed toward the exit, a sense of calm satisfaction settling over him.
The response to the podcast was significant, though not overwhelming like those for the sport's biggest stars.

Still, the audience found themselves intrigued by Damon Cross.
Most of the opinions and responses were positive.
A lot of people were surprised by how down-to-earth and calm he seemed, which is very different from how fighters usually act.
Fans liked how relatable Damon was, which made him more than just a fighter to watch.
It made them want to root for him.
What stood out most was the subtle intrigue surrounding his story.
Damon had touched on the challenges he and his mother faced, but he had kept the details vague.
It was clear they had endured something profound, but the lack of specifics only fueled curiosity.
The restraint in his storytelling didn't feel like a calculated move, it was genuine.
Yet, it left people wanting to know more about the man behind the fighter.
Fans and casual listeners alike began discussing his potential, not just as an athlete but as a personality worth following.
While he hadn't shared everything, Damon had done enough to spark interest, leaving a lasting impression on those who tuned in.
It was clear that he had not only gained fans but also planted seeds for even greater interest in the future.
As for Damon, he couldn't deny the itch to step back into the cage.
The break had been good, refreshing, even, but fighting was what drove him, what gave him purpose.
He hoped Victor had something set up soon, a potential fight in the works, or at least an idea of when he could get back to training with a specific goal in mind.
While hanging out with others had been enjoyable, it wasn't the same.
Most of his close friend group had been scattered, tied up with their own lives and responsibilities.
Joey and Ashley had been so busy with their lives that Damon hadn't seen them in months.
They occasionally sent updates, but the once-frequent hangouts felt like a distant memory.
Ty, too, was swamped with his wrestling pursuits.
Damon hadn't heard much from him, other than the occasional message here and there, and it was clear Ty was deeply focused on his own career.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
And Svetlana, while she remained a constant in his life, wasn't there every day.
She had her own commitments, and Damon respected that.
But it meant he often found himself alone, left with his thoughts and the growing hunger to return to the octagon.
And some thoughts he didn't like coming to his head.
The downtime was beginning to feel less like a break and more like a void.
Damon knew he thrived on momentum, on pushing forward, and now he was ready to get back to work.
What do you think?
