Chapter 195 The battle of Nakor. (7) Tyrant-Class Heavy Infantry
In an instant, the spear-wielder surged forward, the ground beneath him cracking from the sheer force of his leap. Lightning exploded from his spear as he thrust it toward Harlix's mech with blinding speed.
Harlix reacted quickly, his remaining tentacles snapping up to deflect the attack. Sparks flew as lightning met reinforced metal, and the sheer power of the clash sent shockwaves rippling through the air.
The woman, meanwhile, raised her hands, and the winds around her began to howl. The air itself seemed to bend to her will, swirling into a deadly vortex that lashed out at Harlix's mech. Pieces of debris and sharp fragments of metal were pulled into the storm, striking the mech with brutal force.
Harlix growled, the playful edge in his tone replaced by irritation. "Ah, I see. You're not ordinary awakened. Interesting. But if you think you can—"
A deafening crack interrupted him as the spear-wielder struck again, this time piercing one of the mech's lower limbs. Electricity surged through the appendage, causing it to spasm uncontrollably before it collapsed under its own weight.
Harlix stumbled but quickly regained his balance, his machine compensating for the damage. "Impressive," he admitted, his tone now cold and calculating. "But this is far from over."
He unleashed a barrage of missiles from hidden compartments in his mech, targeting both the siblings at once. The woman, with a flick of her wrist, redirected the missiles with a powerful gust of wind, sending them spiraling harmlessly into the distance.
The spear-wielder closed the distance again, his weapon glowing brighter with every step. Harlix readied his remaining tentacles to intercept, but before they could strike, the woman's wind wrapped around her brother like a protective shield, propelling him faster than Harlix could react.
With a roar, the man drove his spear into the mech's chest, the weapon embedding itself deep into its core. Lightning erupted from the point of impact, causing Harlix's systems to flicker as alarms blared inside the cockpit.
"You've underestimated us," the woman said, her voice cutting through the chaos. "And now, you'll pay for your sins."
But even as the mech sputtered and smoked, Harlix's laughter echoed ominously. "Do you think this is the end? You're far more entertaining than I expected. Let's see how far you can push me."
With a sickening hiss, the mech began to transform, its damaged parts breaking away to reveal a sleeker, deadlier form beneath.
Harlix's new form stood in stark contrast to the towering bulk of his earlier mecha. It was sleek, streamlined, and deceptively simple in appearance, looking no more imposing than the standard power armor sold on the high-end black market.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Yet, despite its lack of heavy weaponry or overwhelming size, the air around him seemed to hum with an unnatural energy. Harlix's confidence was palpable, almost oppressive.
"Mmm, this feels better," Harlix said, flexing his armored fingers and admiring his reflection in the glossy surface of his forearm. "A beautiful design, wouldn't you agree? One of its kind. I poured everything into this armor, all my research, all my experiments."
He turned his glowing yellow eyes toward the siblings, his voice brimming with sinister pride. "You humans were my greatest inspiration. While I can't replicate some of your peculiar abilities, I've integrated the principles behind them into my technology. You should feel honored. You're about to witness perfection in motion."
Before anyone could react, Harlix vanished in a flash of light.
"Brother, behind you!" Lilla's voice rang out, sharp and urgent.
But it was too late. Harlix reappeared behind her brother, his fist already glowing with a fiery heat. With a thunderous boom, the moment his fist connected, a powerful explosion engulfed him, sending the brother hurtling through the air like a comet.
The impact shook the ground, flames licking at the battlefield as Lilla's brother crashed into the dirt.
Fortunately, the swirling air surrounding his body cushioned the blow, dispersing the flames before they could consume him. He staggered back to his feet, panting but alive.
Harlix's laughter echoed across the battlefield, cold and unhinged. "Fascinating! So, you can defend against instant combustion? Impressive... but let's see if your precious air can shield you from this!"
Two long, metallic whips unfurled from Harlix's forearms with a mechanical snap. Electricity coursed through them, crackling like a storm in the night. The whips hissed and sparked, eerily reminiscent of Lilla brother own lightning-charged spear.
In another flash, Harlix teleported again. This time, he appeared directly in front of Lilla, his electrified whips lashing out toward her like striking vipers.
But before they could make contact, a massive white arm materialized beside her, seemingly out of thin air. The enormous limb caught the whips effortlessly, its sheer size dwarfing the sleekness of Harlix's armor.
Harlix's yellow eyes widened for a moment before narrowing in curiosity. "Hahaha! What is this? A double-ability user? Not just aerokinesis, but something entirely else? Tell me, my dear... What is your second power?" His voice carried an almost manic excitement, as if he were unraveling the mysteries of the universe.
Lilla said nothing, her piercing gray eyes burning with fury.
Before Harlix could push further, her brother reappeared behind him, moving like a bolt of lightning. His spear crackled with energy, and with every ounce of his strength, he drove it toward Harlix's back, aiming to pierce straight through him.
But Harlix vanished again, teleporting out of harm's way at the very last second.
"Tch, it seems no one has manners these days," Harlix said, reappearing a few meters away. He straightened his armor mockingly, brushing off invisible dust.
"Didn't your parents teach you to wait your turn? I was having a conversation with the lady!" His tone was laced with sarcasm as he turned his gaze back to Lilla's brother. "This is why humans are only good as slaves. You lack the most basic decorum. Even commoners show more respect!"
The siblings exchanged a glance. Lilla's brother growled under his breath, gripping his spear so tightly that electricity sparked from his fingertips.
Harlix cocked his head, as if pondering something, and then let out a mock sigh. "Well, if I can't have a civilized discussion with the lady over there, I suppose I'll just have to kill you first. After all, your interruptions are becoming most tiresome."
With that, he teleported again, faster this time, his whips crackling as he closed the gap. His target was clear: Lilla's brother. The siblings braced themselves, but Harlix's speed was unlike anything they'd encountered before.
Lilla's brother barely had time to raise his spear when Harlix appeared directly in front of him, his electrified whips arcing downward like a thunderbolt. But just as they were about to strike, the white arm reappeared, shielding him at the last second.
Harlix's laughter echoed again, this time more deranged. "Ah, there it is again! That magnificent power! Tell me, is it an extension of you, or something else?" He lashed out with his other whip, but the arm blocked that strike too, its sheer size and strength completely nullifying his attacks.
Lilla stepped forward, her voice like ice. "You want answers, Harlix? Come and take them. But it'll cost you more than you're willing to pay."
Her brother steadied himself, stepping into position beside her. The air around them began to shift and crackle, their combined powers surging to new heights.
Harlix's grin widened. "Oh, how delightful! Show me, humans! Show me the full extent of your pathetic resistance!"
The ground trembled beneath their feet as the three combatants prepared to clash once more, the storm of their battle threatening to consume everything around them.
While the main forces were locked in a chaotic clash outside, the twin legion had already infiltrated the heart of the Nexum facility. The defenders, who had once stood proud with their advanced training and weapons, fell like leaves in a storm.
The Twin Legion's superior armament and shielding, combined with their programmed battlefield expertise, made them an unstoppable force. Among Tier 1 units, they were unmatched, a nightmare of precision and efficiency.
Leading the charge was a newly developed prototype, the Tyrant-Class Heavy Infantry, a masterpiece of Kalezar engineering. Towering over the standard Aegis units, this colossal war machine was the pinnacle of battlefield dominance.
Its armor gleamed a cold, polished silver, reinforced to shrug off even the heaviest projectiles. Equipped with heavy plasma blasters capable of vaporizing multiple enemies in a single burst, energy shields that could absorb tremendous punishment, and melee disruptor blades that could slice through reinforced steel, it was both a juggernaut and a tactician.
The Tyrant wasn't just a brute. Unlike the standard Aegis units, it was imbued with advanced tactical algorithms, making it not only a relentless killing machine but also a highly competent battlefield commander.
It could adapt, strategize, and lead its squads with chilling precision. In the hierarchy of Kalezar forces, it replaced the elite royal guards, now serving as both protector and officer to their generals.

Its voice boomed across the comm channels, cold and devoid of any semblance of humanity.
<<Squads 4 and 5 hold positions and secure the first five floors. Do not allow any breaches. Remaining squads, continue advancing. Our objective is total purge of all personnel within the facility. Show no mercy.>>
The squads moved with terrifying synchronicity, their boots pounding against the steel floors as they swept through corridors, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake. Defenders scrambled to regroup, but it was futile.
Plasma bolts tore through cover like paper, and the advanced targeting systems of the Aegis Legion ensured no shot was wasted. Their energy shields absorbed return fire with ease, glowing momentarily with faint pulses of light before resetting to full capacity.
There was no room for compromise or hesitation.
What do you think?
